Our first blind judge to be appointed…

Yousaf-Saleem-First-Blind-Judge

Yousaf Saleem’s assignment as a judge will be a significant moment for our country’s disabled community.

Yousaf Saleem, a visually impaired individual is all set to end up as Pakistan’s first blind judge. This decision was taken after the article written by Umar Cheema, enlightening the world about Yousaf Saleem’s dream.

Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar took notice of the reports and directed Lahore High Court (LHC) for the reconsideration of the naming candidate. According to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, a blind person can hold the post provided that he meets all the requirements and qualifications.

Yousaf Saleem is a gold medalist in LLB (Honors) from University of the Punjab, other than that he has topped the examination of Civil Judges conducted in 2017 but was rejected in the interview due to his visual disability. After this rational step of Chief Justice of Pakistan against this issue, Yousaf’s morale has been uplifted. His motivation towards education has proved that disability can never a hurdle for a struggler to fulfill his dreams. Yousaf has however lost vision, but he has not abandoned his dreams.
